Yo. It’s been a long time. There have been plenty of pictures but not a lot of time. Plus, the internet connection here in Laos is slow and sketchy. Anyway, here are a few pictures I took today of Eli. The background looks white, but it’s actually the yellow west-facing wall of our house.

May 22, 2011Beautiful Bangkok Family
November 14, 2010When Orawin and Karsten invited me to their home in Bangkok, I didn’t know what to expect. But it was clear after a few moments what a loving, beautiful family they are. He is from Denmark and his parents were in Bangkok visiting, so I had the chance to photograph some extended family. Their little girl was so sweet and fast! She had just learned to walk the day before and I could barely keep up with her. Here are a couple of my favorite shots.

October 27, 2010Rainy Day
September 10, 2010It was too wet to go outside and we were all getting kind of bored. So I set up a little backdrop using some great fabric I got in Bangkok (it’s called “Super Black” and it is the blackest, heaviest polyester weave I’ve ever seen). The light is coming from the backdoor (so it was like one big direct softbox).

June 21, 2010This is one of my sweet nieces who came to visit for a week last month.

After I took a few shots of her, she asked if she could take some pictures of me, so I gave her the camera and then my oldest came running over. I love that she got this shot because I’m almost certain an adult never could have coaxed that kind of smile out of Ezra.
